Piano Practice Tips to Hard the Herald Angels Sing

1.  The first Piano Practice Tip to Hark The Herald Angels Sing is in the key of G Major with F-Sharp.  Circle all of the F’s on your music before you begin.  Then it will guide you as you are reading through the piece for the first time.

2.  There is a repeated rhythmic pattern of a dotted quarter note followed by and eighth note in measures 1, 3 and 7.  The dotted quarter note should be count “1&2” and the eighth notes simply receives the “&” or the other half of beat number 2.

3.  Guitar students should use the chord symbols written directly above the melody line.  So remember that an A7 chord is spelled A-C sharp-E-g and that an Am (a minor) chord is spelled a-c-d.

4.  Make sure to practice the right hand separately several times before adding the left hand for quicker success.  The right hand melody has quite a few big reaches in it.  Also, please use the suggested fingering in this beginner piano sheet music score.
