The fingering for the C major scale right hand is 1 2 3  1 2 3 4 5.  The left hand fingering for this same scale is 5 4 3 2 1  3 2 1.

Use this same fingering for the G, D, A and E major scales as well.

The C major arpeggio consists of the music note names C, E, G and C.  As seen below the second line is the one octave arpeggio and the third line is the two octave arpeggio.

The C Major Arpeggio

The word Arpeggio is Italian for broken chord.  The C major arpeggio consists of the notes C, E and G played both forward in sequence and then reversed in sequence.  It is made up of the exact same notes that are in the  C major chord which are C, E and G also.

All three notes are played together in the c major chord.  However, you will play them each separately to create the arpeggio.

G Major Scale and Arpeggio

G Major Scale and Arpeggio –  This scale includes the notes of G, A, B, C, D, E, F sharp and G.

D Major Scale and Arpeggio

D Major Scale and Arpeggio – The D major scale consists of the notes D, E, F sharp, G, A, B, C sharp and D.
