Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring Piano Tutorial

Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” is the most common English title of this piece of music.  It was originally derived from a chorale setting of the cantata.

Bach composed and played the harpsichord for all of his compositions and perfoemances.  The harpsichord was the distant cousin to the piano as we know it today.  Often the artwork was elaborate on these instruments.

The translation of this title means “Heart and Mouth and Deed and Life”.  It was composed by Johann Sebastian Bach in 1723.
